Ana Julaton wants Ann Osman in ONE Spirit of Champions


“The Hurricane” wants to join the party this December.

With the announcement of the heavyweight title fight between Brandon Vera and Chi Lewis-Parry, the Filipina boxing champion and MMA fighter expressed her desire to be part of One Championship’s Spirit of Champions card to be held in Manila later this year.

Her coach, Angelo Reyes confided to Tiebreaker Times his ward’s wish to fight on the said card and her desire for a rematch with Malaysia’s Ann “Athena” Osman (3-1).

“She has requested to fight (Ann) Osman in Manila on the undercard of Brandon [Vera] vs. Chi Lewis Parry but we have not heard any word from ONE Championship.” according to Reyes.

Julaton had lost to Osman (3-1) in Dubai “Athena” in their first encounter as she failed to deny Osman her takedowns. Ever since, the San Fransisco, California-born fighter worked another crack at the Malaysian star but instead, faced the Egyptian fighter.

Osman’s most recent win also came at the expense of Abbas over five months ago in ONE: Age of Champions held in her home country.

In addition, Reyes promised a stronger “Hurricane” as she continues to train under wrestling coach Ricky Lundell and has been part of UFC heavyweight Frank Mir’s training camp for his September 5 fight against Andrei Arlovski in Las Vegas.

“Ana is focused on improving. (She’s) continuing to improve with her head coach Ricky Lundell in her overall MMA game,” said Reyes.
