Allyn Bulanadi dislocates shoulder in Gilas’ Calambubble

Six-foot-two swingman Allyn Bulanadi suffered a dislocated right shoulder during one of Gilas Pilipinas’ sessions at the Inspire Sports Academy in Calamba, Laguna.

“Allyn got injured during the second or third day of practice. Okay naman. Aside from him, he is okay,” said Gilas head coach Jong Uichico.

Bulanadi, a Cadet out of San Sebastian, was expected to play a huge role with Gilas in the second window of the 2021 FIBA Asia Cup Qualifiers set to take place in Manama, Bahrain from November 27 to 30.

As Samahang Basketbol ng Pilipinas’ Special Assistant to the President Ryan Gregorio put it during an episode of 2OT presented by SMART Sports, “Itong si Allyn Bulanadi has also worked tremendously on his body, because when you take a look at Allyn, he’s probably one of the best shooters we have right now.

“He reminds me doon sa mga shooters natin dati — probably Allan Caidic in the future, if he becomes better or even Jeff Chan.”

Bulanadi will still remain in Calamba to help out the team.
