Dante Alinsunurin reminded the Choco Mucho Flying Titans that they are just at the beginning of a long transition process following their straight-set loss to Petro Gazz last Thursday.
Coming off a debut win over Akari, the Flying Titans suffered a 25-18, 25-20, 25-21 sweep at the hands of former head coach Oliver Almadro and the Angels in the 2023 Premier Volleyball League All-Filipino Conference at the Filoil EcoOil Centre.
Kung ano ‘man yung nagiging problema natin every game dapat masolusyunan natin,” he added.
Alinsunurin said that the team’s performance on the service line and the defensive end proved to be the difference maker in the loss. Choco Mucho had 58 digs, 20 receptions, as well as two aces in the three sets of action.
The NU head coach also stressed that the team must be consistent in what they are doing inside the court to prevent such things from happening again.
“Yung problema namin sa loob kanina is yung service receive namin. Medyo off talaga yung ano namin, medyo mababa yung porsyento namin.
Kung ano ‘man yung nagiging sitwasyon namin ngayon, kailangan namin talagang tanggapin at pag-aralan kung ano yung dapat naming gawin sa susunod,” he added.
Kat Tolentino was the lone double-digit scorer for the Flying Titans with 14 points while Des Cheng followed with nine markers along with 11 excellent digs.
Denden Lazaro-Revilla, meanwhile, collected 19 excellent digs and seven excellent receptions.
“Ang sabi ko nga sa kanila, ‘wag lang sila ma-pressure sa sitwasyon dahil ang gusto lang namin talaga is maglaro and mag-improve pa yung team.”
