Jimmy Alapag is reprising his role as an assistant coach for Sacramento in the 2021 NBA Summer League in Las Vegas.
The PBA great is part of Bobby Jackson’s staff for the annual off-season competition, which runs from August 8-17.
James Han of NBC Sports posted via Twitter Saturday the Kings’ official roster for the tournament.
This will be his second Summer League stint.
Back in 2019, the 2011 PBA MVP accepted the invitation of Vlade Divac, then the Kings’ VP of basketball operations, to be part of their crew.
Alapag and Divac are both part of the FIBA Players’ Commission.
The Kings finished with a 2-2 record in the festivities that featured 32 teams as it included the national teams of China and Croatia.
Now, Alapag will help mentor a team that features no. 9 pick Davion Mitchell and Alex Antetokounmpo in the tilt to be held at the Thomas and Mack Center.
The former San Miguel Alab Pilipinas head coach moved to the States together with his family last September.
