Ailing Myla Pablo questionable for Game 2

Already facing a 1-0 deficit in the 2017 PVL Women’s Open Conference Finals, reigning champions Pocari Sweat Lady Warriors will have to overcome another obstacle, as Most Valuable Player Myla Pablo is suffering an illness, according to a report by the Philippine Star.

The report stated that Pablo was confined in an undiclosed hospital on Sunday morning after experiencing pain in her abdomen during Game One. The diagnosis was that she is experiencing UTI (Urinary Tract Infection).

“She (Pablo) had pain on her abdomen since Saturday. On Sunday morning, she was brought to the hospital and they said she has UTI,” a team insider said.

The 23-year-old spiker was limited to just nine points during the 22-25, 19-25, 22-25 loss.

Pocari Sweat, winners of the last three club conferences of the V-League, are looking to force a winner-take-all Game Three on Wednesday. The status of the 5-foot-9 outside hitter for the match will be a game-time decision.
