Ahanmisi repeats as Cloudfone Obstacle king

Maverick Ahanmisi has retained his throne as the fastest man in the PBA.

The Filipino-American guard blew past the competition in the final round, clocking in at 25.8 ticks — 0.9 seconds faster than runner-up Alex Cabagnot. Emman Monfort was third at 27.1 second while RJ Jazul (29.4 seconds), Simon Enciso (37.8), and Sol Mercado (38.4) rounded up the field.

Ahanmisi sped past his head-up opponent Kris Rosales to advance to the second round. Enciso, Mercado, Monfort, Jazul, and Cabagnot joined the defending champion after defeating Roi Sumang, Stanley Pringle, LA Revilla, Ed Daquioag, and Alvin Abundo respectively.

The 25-year-old Rain or Shine floor general is the first to win the event in back-to-back years, since Jonas Villanueva won four straight from 2010-2013.
