Lito Adiwang will have a tough task in front of him when he returns to the ONE Circle on April 15.
The Team Lakay standout has been booked to face top-ranked strawweight in the world Jarred Brooks on ONE on TNT II in Singapore.
ONE Championship confirmed the bout, Saturday evening.
Adiwang, who is 12-3 in his prizefighting career, is coming off a second round knockout win over Namiki Kawahara during Unbreakable.
The native of Baguio City had been angling for a rematch against Hiroshi Minowa, who snapped his seven-bout winning streak last November, but a new opportunity was presented in front of him in Brooks.
In many rankings, Brooks (16-2) is seen as the top strawweight in the world as he has competed all over the world — including UFC, WSOF, Pancrase, Rizin, and Bellator.
In his last fight back in December of 2019, he took a dominant unanimous decision win over Haruo Ochi.
Now he makes his debut in the Home of Martial Arts.
Stacked will be ONE on TNT II as it will have Christian Lee’s defense of the Lightweight World Championship against Timofey Nastyukhin. Martin Nguyen also makes his return in the co-main event against Kim Jae Woong.
