Adelaide rules out Kai Sotto for NBL opening

Kai Sotto’s debut in the National Basketball League-Australia will have to wait.

The 19-year-old big man has been ruled out of Adelaide’s game against Perth on Friday at the RAC Arena.

The team cited knee soreness as the reason for it – the same injury that plagued Sotto during the NBL Blitz.

Also out for the 36ers are Emmanuel Malou (knee soreness); Sunday Dech (quadriceps); and Hyrum Harris (border restrictions).

Harris will be available for Adelaide’s game against Illawara on Sunday at the Adelaide Entertainment Centre.

Sotto has only played one game so far for Adelaide. He tallied seven points, five rebounds, and a block in the 36ers’ win over Cairns last November 14.
