Adamson University continued its winning start to the UAAP Season 89 Collegiate Men’s Football Tournament, cruising past University of the East, 3-0, amid stormy conditions on Sunday at the UP Diliman Football Stadium.
Roberto Roldan opened the scoring for the Soaring Falcons in the 21st minute, before Kaizer Pajenado doubled their lead just four minutes later.
Cameroonian forward Dany Golike then capped the first-half outburst with a fine finish in the 42nd minute. The three goals were enough to put Adamson firmly in control before the break.

“We’re happy with the three points, though we’re not happy with the way we performed in the second half,” said head coach Darlton Digha after his team secured its third straight win.
“I feel like we relaxed a little bit in the second half. It’s not the mentality we want, but we’ll take the three points and prepare for the next game,” the former Falcon added.
The victory put Adamson level with league leader De La Salle University at nine points, though the Green Booters kept the top spot on goal difference, +6 to +5.
