F2 Logistics is penciled in as one of the eight teams that is set to play in the 2021 PSL Invitational Beach Volleyball Challenge Cup.
However, Cargo Movers skipper Aby Maraño doubts that the Efren Uy-owned franchise will field a team there.
“Paano? Sige nga sabihin niyo sa akin e nasa [abroad] pa si [Tin] Tiamzon,” said the 28-year-old La Salle product in an online interview circulating on social media.
Since 2016, F2 Logistics has never missed a PSL beach volleyball tournament. Maraño participated back in 2015 and 2016.
Mich Morente and Fritz Gallenero have been F2’s duo over the past two editions of the tournament.
However, Maraño admitted that the Cargo Movers’ sand team has yet to train this year. The tournament is scheduled to take place from February 26-28 in Subic Tennis Center.
The PSL is still awaiting the go-signal to play from the Department of Health.
“Hindi papayag yang sila coach [Ramil De Jesus] na sumali na… Ano ngayon 17 na? Tapos ngayong February 27 beach volleyball. Jusko, never in my wildest dream na magpapadala tapos hindi ready. I highly doubt talaga.”
The other listed teams competing are two teams each from Sta. Lucia, United Auctioneers Inc., and Bacolod, along with a team backed by Toby’s Sports.
