Defending champion Abra Weavers scored a 105-79 rout of the Sarangani 10ACT Marlins in the 2026 MPBL Season on Monday at the San Andres Sports Complex in Manila.
Abra improved to 5-1 and tied San Juan in the North Division standings behind league-leading Caloocan (7-0).
Powered by 6-foot-8 big man Drex Delos Reyes, the Weavers led from start to finish and built a lead as large as 89-58 before cruising to the win.
Delos Reyes finished with 18 points, nine rebounds, and three blocks, while John Uduba posted 11 points, 12 rebounds, 3 assists and 2 steals. Homegrown Will Keane Lee tallied 11 points, 12 rebounds, 3 assists and 2 steals.
Encho Serrano contributed 10 points, five rebounds, and three assists, while Shaun Ildefonso added 10 points and two assists. Jake Figueroa chipped in eight points and six rebounds for the Weavers, who played without stars Dave Ildefonso, DJ Fenner, Tucker Molina, and Raven Gonzales.
Sarangani dropped to 1-7 despite Carl Bryan Lacap’s 20-point, seven-rebound effort.
On the other hand, Pasig subdued Imus, 82-69, in the nightcap to improve to 4-1.
Pasig’s Jacob Galicia celebrated his 31st birthday with 21 points and seven rebounds en route to Best Player honors, edging teammates Keith Pido, who tallied 14 points, seven rebounds, and seven assists; Jerome Garcia, who scored 12 points; and Warlo Batac, who had seven points and 12 rebounds.
Imus fell to 2-6 despite strong performances from Ralph Robin, who had 19 points, two rebounds, and two assists; Jordan Rios, who posted 13 points, 19 rebounds, and two assists; and Eroll Soriano, who added 11 points, 12 rebounds, and two assists.
The tournament shifts to the Caloocan Sports Complex on Tuesday, with Zamboanga facing Cebu at 4:00 PM, Ilagan Isabela taking on Quezon City at 6:00 PM, and Caloocan battling Valenzuela at 8:00 PM.
