9-man NorthPort comes back from 21 down, beats Alaska in tuneup

Down to just nine healthy bodies, NorthPort still fought back from 21 points down to stun the Alaska Aces, 84-77, in a tuneup ahead of the 2019 PBA Governors’ Cup, Wednesday at Gatorade Hoops Center in Mandaluyong.

Import Mychal Ammons led the Batang Pier with 18 points. Meanwhile, new acquisition Russel Escoto added 14 markers.

NorthPort went undermanned as Sean Anthony, Bradwyn Guinto, and Paolo Taha are still recovering from injuries. Robert Bolick has just returned from the FIBA World Cup in China.

Vic Manuel led the Aces with 21 points.
