3×3 returns to Manila for FIBA World Tour


3×3 basketball is headed back to Manila as the nation’s capital graces the first leg of the 2015 FIBA 3×3 World Tour from August 1 to 2 at the Robinsons Place Manila.

The Manila Masters is the first of six Masters events of the World Tour, before culmination in October: the World Tour final in Abu Dhabi.

Among the teams participating in this year’s tournament are Team Novi Sad, Team Ljubljana, Team Doha, and Team Beirut.

There shall be 12 teams in total which will divided into four pools of three teams each. Teams will play a single round robin within the pool with the top two teams per pool advancing to the quarterfinals.

The top two teams by the end of the tournament will advance to the World Tour final. The winning team shall also take home $10,000.

The team eventually made the quarterfinals of the 2014 World Tour final in Tokyo.
