Pocari Sweat-Air Force romps Iriga-Navy for second win

The Pocari Sweat-Air Force Lady Warriors zoomed to their second straight win, making short work of the Iriga-Navy Oragons, 25-18, 25-18, 25-20, in the PVL Open Conference at the Imus City Sports Center in Cavite.

Pocari Sweat-Air Force used a rare balanced offensive attack to overwhelm the thin Oragons. May Ann Pantino led the squash with 12 points in just two sets of action.

Two-time league Most Valuable Player Myla Pablo added 11 markers, 17 digs, and eight excellent receptions.

“After noong first loss namin, natuto talaga kami,” said Pablo, referring to their loss to Ateneo-Motolite last week. “Nakita namin ‘yung mga errors namin doon and inayos namin sa practice. Nakikita naman sa game namin na tumatalab talaga.”

The Lady Warriors displayed their dominance most in the 41-26 spiking gap as Iriga-Navy kept up in every other scoring skill.

Pocari Sweat-Air Force (2-1) faces Akari-Adamson (0-0) on Wednesday at the FilOil Flying V Centre.

Divine Eguia was the lone Oragon in double-digits with 11 points. Florence Madulid managed eight markers.

Iriga-Navy (0-3) shoots for their first win against Petro Gazz (1-2) tomorrow at the same venue.
