1rrad’s unexpected rise forced RSG to ship Demonkite to MY

RSG Philippines manager Lexie Yambao shed light on the sudden transfer of Jhonard “Demonkite” Caranto to the team’s sister squad, RSG MY, for the upcoming MPL Malaysia Season 12.

According to Yambao, John “Irrad” Tuazon’s sudden rise as one of the top junglers in the MPL Philippines scene played a vital role in the organization’s decision to move Demonkite to Malaysia.

“The beauty kasi na merong mga sister teams is you get to transfer players when we want and when the team needs it so we decided na we’ll focus on Irrad for this season and then we will transfer Demonkite to RSG MY,” she explained.

Demonkite chose to rest during MPL Philippines Season 11, which opened up RSG PH’s jungler spot.

John Paul “H2wo” Salonga got the first opportunity to fill the spot, playing as the team’s jungler in the first seven weeks of the regular season before the former Z4 Esports star, Irrad, got the chance to play in the final week.

As it turned out, one week was all Irrad needed to secure the starting jungler role for RSG Philippines.

With Irrad as the jungler, the former MSC champion squad surged into the playoffs, defeating ONIC Esports and ECHO, respectively, to advance to the upper bracket finals.

However, the team lost steam and fell to Blacklist International in four games before suffering a heart-wrenching 2-3 loss at the hands of the reigning world champion.
