Coach Bong dela Cruz has confirmed, in a statement to the Varsitarian, the official publication of UST, that Karim Abdul will not play against the University of the East Red Warriors.
According to their report, Karim Abdul has been suffering from dehydration and a viral infection since Sunday. Abdul played through the illness in Sunday’s game against the Green Archers and even managed to finish the game.
Since then, Abdul has been confined at the University of Santo Tomas hospital and has yet to be released by his doctors.
