Romeo credits Gilas experience for continuous growth

When Terrence Romeo took the 2015 Jones Cup by storm, it was clear he was a special fit for Gilas Pilipinas as he erased any shade of doubt by overwhelming people’s expectations.

Romeo became an all-important offensive weapon, anchoring Gilas’ attacks while also providing a solid threat from the three-point line.

In a decisive game over the Wellington Saints which Gilas defeated, 84-81, to virtually take home the MVP Cup Saturday, Romeo once again dazzled with 18 points, including 4-for-8 from three-point area.

Despite the skyrocketing improvement, Romeo credits the entire Gilas team for the trust that they have for him, and the way they helped him mature as a playmaker on the floor.

So team effort lang.”

Heading into the FIBA Asia Championship, Romeo will be one of the guards Gilas can rely on, and his spectacular performance starts with the trust which leads to more confidence on the floor.
