Lopsided loss to NU a wakeup call for FEU

Coming off a lopsided defeat at the hands of the National University Lady Bulldogs last week, the FEU Lady Tamaraws came out more focused in their next match as they convincingly notched a straight sets win, 25-21, 25-6, 25-17, against the College of Saint Benilde Lady Blazers earlier at the Filoil Flying V Arena.

Bernadeth Pons led all scorers with 14 point, 2 blocks, and 5 digs, while guest player Royse Tubino followed up with 9 points.

“Mas na-challenge kami noong natalo kami against NU.

In addition, FEU also flashed its lethal form in the second set by coming up with huge scoring runs to dampen the opposition’s morale. Led by the constant smashing of Tubino, FEU was able to maintain a double-digit lead throughout that set and execute their sets flawlessly.

With FEU gaining a morale boost in this game, they now set their sights in their upcoming match against the DLSU-Dasmarinas Lady Patriots this coming August 23, 3:00 pm, at the Filoil Flying V Arena.
