A dismal showing in the first half forced Pido Jarencio to vent his ire on the white board of the Araneta Coliseum.
“Medyo masakit lang yung kamay ko ngayon. Bahala na kayong mag-isip,” Jarencio told sportswriters right after the game.
The Batang Pier found themselves trailing by 11 points at the half, something that was not acceptable for Jarencio, who punched the white board inside their locker room in frustration.
“Actually, yung white board nila. Maghihintay na lang ako ng bill sa Araneta,” said Jarencio.
Jarencio’s wrath fired up the rest of the Batang Pier, particularly Ronjay Buenafe who scored 11 of his 19 points as they turned back the Kia Sorentos.
