Filipino MMA fighter Batolbatol passes away due to road accident

The Philippine mixed martial arts community suffered a tragic loss when Filipino bantamweight competitor, Rocky “The Outlaw” Batolbatol, passed away Sunday morning due to a road accident in Cagayan de Oro, Philippines.

Formal hospital medical reports and procedures are still being carried out.

He was 32 years old.

Rocky Batolbatol became part of the growing ONE Championship family back in 2014, competing in three exciting bouts under the Asian promotion.

He is a former professional boxer who has transitioned smoothly into the sport of mixed martial arts, owning a win-loss record of 5-3 with two spectacular knockout wins and one impressive submission victory.

Batolbatol was last seen inside the ONE Championship cage in May 2016, when he faced Singaporean prospect Christian Lee.

ONE Championship is deeply saddened by his untimely passing. The organization extends its sincerest sympathies and deepest condolences to the family and loved ones of Rocky Batolbatol during this very difficult time.
