Eddiva set to face Kiwi foe in UFC Fight Night: Brisbane

Mark Eddiva returns to the octagon in less than two months!

With seven of their fighters fighting this January, the opportunities just keep coming for the Philippines’ top MMA camp Team Lakay. 29 year old Baguio-native Mark Eddiva will try to break his two-fight losing streak against New Zealand’s Daniel Booker on March 19, 2016 at the Brisbane Entertainment Centre in Brisbane, Queensland, Australia.

Eddiva (6-2) last fought in the octagon last May during the UFC’s first foray in Manila. The 29-year-old was on the losing end of a split decision against Levan Makashvili (7-2). The Team Lakay standout was dominated in the wrestling department during the bout but has vowed to have trained extensively in that aspect of the game during the short talk we had with him during PXC 51.

Facing Eddiva is the dangerous Daniel “the Hangman” Booker.

Booker is just 25 years young but has already fought in 18 professional fights. Booker (12-6) is currently 2-2 in the UFC but notched a career-defining knockout win against Japanese legend Hatsu Hioki via head kick last May. The Kiwi though lost via unanimous decision against Yair Rodriguez last October.

Will Eddiva finally return to the win column and book his ticket for UFC Fight Night Manila 2? Or will Booker break the dreams of the Baguio-native? Sound-off in our comments section!
