Christian Standhardinger to attend Draft

Though he was not able able to join his fellow aspirants for the Rookie Combine, 6-foot-8 Filipino-German Christian Standhardinger will definitely not miss the biggest night for PBA hopefuls, announcing on Twitter that he will be in attendance for the 2017 PBA Draft on Sunday, October 29, at the Robinson’s Place Manila.

Moreover, the 28-year-old big man — who is seen as the consensus top overall pick of this class — has already sent his letter to the league regarding why he could not attend the Rookie Showcase.

Standhardinger is currently in Hong Kong, training with his ABL club team Hong Kong Eastern Sports Club.

The last time he was here was back in July, as he trained with both the Asia Cup and Southeast Asian Games Gilas teams.
