The University of the Philippines Fighting Maroon frontline just suffered a huge blow.

With 3:04 remaining in the second quarter in their tilt against the Adamson Soaring Falcons Sunday morning and with the Falcons up 35-23, Jerson Prado , who had already tallied four points and nine board in the game, grabbed his ninth board against Papi Sarr but landed awkwardly on his right knee. The UP crumbled in pain soon after and had to be taken out on a stretcher.

According to UP head coach Renzy Bajar, Prado was diagnosed with a broken patella on his right knee. However, their is still no official timetable yet for his recovery.

The sophomore is one of the most efficient players in the UP lineup as he is averaging 2.7 points and 3.3 boards this season in 10.3 minutes of play.
